The Challenge
The Search, Discovery, and Content AI (SDC) team at Adobe plays a crucial role in the company's Cloud offering. They focus on providing quick access to digital assets, creative content, and documents for both creative professionals and novice users. With the increasing demand for video content in Adobe Express and Stock, the SDC team is expanding its capabilities in video processing, rendering, machine learning, and deep search. This expansion is critical for the success of Adobe Express users, requiring end-to-end pipelines to support video rendering, import/export, and the discovery of various assets.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Search Engineering Leader in SDC, you will.
- Work on big data, data ingestion, search indexing, data mining, Hadoop, deep learning, and recommendations to develop a search platform powering Adobe's product lines.
- Apply data mining and machine learning techniques to enhance ranking and recommendations within the search workflow.
- Build a platform capable of indexing billions of images, documents, and assets in real time.
- Maintain and optimize the search engine, identify opportunities for evolution, develop new features, and benchmark solutions for search relevance, recommendations, user experience, performance, and feasibility.
- Utilize technologies such as Elastic Search, REST web services, SQS/Kafka, Machine Learning, etc., to build and enhance search products.
- Collaborate with a dynamic team in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, matching the pace, innovation, and excitement of a startup while benefiting from Adobe's resources and infrastructure.
Qualifications.
To succeed in this role, you should have
- B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science.
- Minimum 6-8 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience in SaaS-based software development.
- Proficiency in search engine technology, inverted indexes, and experience with Elastic Search/SolR.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Python, and PHP.
- Expertise in big data processing, Hadoop, and Spark.
- Experience in building indexing pipelines.
- Familiarity with web services, REST, RDBMS, and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Azure, ResourceManager, and HDInsights.
