What I observed over the years is that a lot of employers don't put much value in resume, they just glance over it. On the other hand the HR department often uses them for initial filtering of the applied candidates.

So my advice is to write quite a few buzzwords that will catch a recruiter's or employer's attention, keep it simple (believe me no one will read a three or more page resume), don't lie, don't exaggerate.

Nevertheless I would also like to point out that resume itself, regardless of how good it is, will not land you a job. The interview should be your main focus and you should prepare for it as best as you can. For the developers job I would recommend you to for example to practice with this site full of programming aptitude tests.
