Windows Service

A Windows Service is totally different from an application. Services are executed differently with special rules that they must follow and with special privileges. A Windows Service typically has the ability to do anything to the system and therefore developers should not develop a service unless they have a need for the exceptional level of access. Users and owners of computers should not trust a service in their system unless thy know it is safe so it is more difficult to install a Windows Service; it sure should be more difficult.
