C# can do all that and even more :). I have built several financial and banking systems using C#, Windows Forms and ASP.NET.

Mostly people would say Java is more secure than .NET, thats why the core banking and financial application are developed using Java and rest of the application which would display the content will be developed in .NET.
I would say its all just MYTHS.
Security depends on your implementation logic, how far it can secure your application. It might be a Java or .NET or any other application.
Your implementation would decide ur application is secured or not.
