which db should i use

hey guys..i want to develop a windows application in C..it will be used in a network in the office with 6 or 7 clients maybe more in time...but the point is which db system should i use ? MSSql,MySql or Access.. i dont know their benefits or some features if they have like stored procedure or triggers or etc
so which one u suggest me to use ?

I think you should either use SQL Server or MySQL. Access is not good for a client-server application on a network. While MySQL is complecated to use with non-friendly UI and lot of command line execution, IT IS FREE. SQL Server is very easy, with very friendly user interface but it will cost you. For development purpose, you can use a free (Express) version but for production, you or your client will need to spend money.

You can run all three (MySQL, SQL Server, and SQL Server Expression version) on same machine.

ok man...but does it chnge anything when i install sql express in that machine also...does it make any problem ?

You did not say in your original question that MySQL was already installed and being used in the server. It really helps to include information such as that in the original question.

ok guys but i have one more question...if the server machine has Mysql server installed in it...does it mkae any problem if i install MsSql also ? because Mysql is insipensable for that machine ...

When using Visual Studio, SQL Server is better in terms of integration with VS. So you on the right track of learning SQL Server for now. Later you can explore other possibilities but we can't learn everything all at once.

i just wanted to learn new things but it seem i will postpone it for a while

I agree with Sam. Access is good for one user and on local machine only. So SQL Server Express.
