Where does output from Console.WriteLine go?

Mike, wouldn't it be better use Console.Err.WriteLine for error handling?

Thanks for everyone's input, and yeah, I'm coming from Java. When doing Java applets, I would create a logger text box in my applet and then get rid of it when app was debugged. I guess I'll just try the same thing here in my WebForm. Again, thanks.

Sami, I guess it'e coming from VS samples. A lot of them has Console.WriteLine for the error handling. And, of course, sometime it's very confusing...

Allright, should have a little look at documents before posting. Console class provides nice System.Console.SetOut(TextWriter _writer) method :)

Mike, I think he needs to know where does it go when called from ASP.NET page. What's the console then? Many people coming from java-world are looking for text-output for logging purposes... how to do it? My best bet is write a custom logger, but it would be nice to be able to redirect Console.Out to a given file for example.

May be it goes to Console? What do you think?
