I want to know about the software and platforms which I need for writing and implementing my PHP codes so please suggest me the best software for doing this.

Hi,Thank you for your answer, I installed XAMPP but I have problem with using it, and someone suggest using dev PHP for writing my codes, please explain more about XAMPP and dev PHP.

The easiest way to run a PHP Program for the first time is using the software bundle named XAMPP. XAMPP works well in all the major platforms: Windows, Mac and Linux.
You don't have to install Apache, PHP and MySQL separately.XAMPP does that for you with just a few clicks.Before you install XAMPP, you may have to uninstall existing Apache and MySQL installations, especially if they were installed as a service.
