SQL temp tables are created in the tempdb database. A local SQL Server temp table is only visible to the current session. It cannot be seen or used by processes or queries outside of the session it is declared in.

Temporary table as the name suggest is the database table that exist temporaliy on database server.
A temporary table is used to store small amount of filtered data from large subset. It can be used when you need a small set of data repeatedly from large number of records than you can store it temporarily so you dont need to execute and filtered small set of data again and again.

Temporary tables are stored inside "tempdb" which is System database

Temporary table are created using hash (#). To create golbal temporay table we can use double hash (##). Global Temporary table are created to use table within open connections.

Creating temporary table is to store data for certain period taking use of that stored data at next query then once done truncating table or dropping table using C# Ado.net is common tasks in development of applications
