What is Devops?

Firstly you might find so many definitions for DevOps when you google it. However to explain in simple terms or rather my way of saying, it is the next big thing in the IT industry where devops is a practise which every company wants to adapt in order to streamline there delivery process.

DevOps is basically designing the deployment lifecycle using variety of tools available in the market.

Why DevOps? - As I explained earlier, it is needed to have a proper workflow of building applications and deploying them. We can use any tool or technology to create the process, however the end result that everyone want to achieve is the smooth delivery and process.

Where Used? - It is used in almost every company where SDLC is used, devops is used as a practise to design the workflow on how to streamline builds and when to schedule deployments, so devops work with both development teams and as well as infrastructure teams to design the delivery process.
