Uses of static class

At what situations we need to choose static class.

Other than no instantiation is required.

Static class contains static methods, to execute static method class name used instead of class object. So static class is used to write common code which can be accessible through project without creating object of class.

Hello @Hemalatha
static method and members are take mamory in stack whereas the instants take memory in heap.
All mamory which is save in stack is genarallize for all instance which take data in heap
so we can say that static members and method is accessable to all instance.
now if we talk about static class,we use static class when we don't want that our class is capable for create instance .

If you are looking at all of these concepts from a purely technical point of view or for the purpose of cracking an interview, you will probably never understand it. You will only know the words but they will remain meaningless to you. You will really need to think on a deeper level and come to the conclusion on your own. Keep asking 'Why?'.

You need to put yourself in the shoes of designers and try to understand why they reached at a particular decision. It is only then it will all start making sense to you.

Anyway.

There are things in the world which are constant no matter how you look at it. For example, 1 + 1 = 2. This is mathamatics. This is constant. Take the value of pi. That is constant too. Take a formula to calculate area. It never changes. Hence the math class in C# is static.

Even if you were able to make an instance of that object, what would you change? Nothing.

As such, when a thing never changes it's content and implementation, one will go for static class.

For example, assume you wish to hold some app level data. The static class is logical here because there will be only one instance of your app will be running. Also all app values should visible all across. No need to create an instance.
