User permissions on List items

Dear,

I would like to know if there is a possible way I can add permission to the list item only for the user who added the listitem dynamically on adding the list item C# or via workflow.

What you have to do is, first break the inherited permission and then assign new permission to the list items.

The code to achieve the task is as follows:

Hi Kamal,

Why dont you use the OOTB settings to manage permissions only for the current user who creates the item?

You can use SPD workflow or Event receiver to assign permission to current user on created item.

When user adding the list item, map the user id or role id to apply the permission for those
list items

For example user X added a list item he will be the only granted permissions to read/contribute to this list item dynamically on list item creation.

Please confirm if the scenario is enough or more information are needed.
