Un-answered forum questions

Hi Mahesh,

some times the user posted a question but not answered here for the long time. when the same user ask another question then why can't ask them to close the unanswered questions which he/she got the answer. They can post the answer themselves and can close it.

I think we may fix certain no of unanswered questions with combination of certain period.

yes, 1 week would be fine, or we can go for 10days.

I have noticed lot of things.

Any thread which talks about real time issue in their project, which not answered for more than 4 days is out of date.

Because a issue can't stop the progress of work in any critical project for long time. 

And also same person used to post in multiple web sites for get the answer quickly.

I'd go even further than that and automatically close all threads where the latest (or only) post is more than 4 weeks ago.

The OP is unlikely to still be interested in an answer or further answers after that length of time has elapsed. If (s)he still needs an asnwer, then the question should be asked again.

It would also stop people tagging new questions onto old threads when they should be starting a new thread. 

I think we should eliminate 1 year back asked questions (still un-answered) in first place.

Also, now a days there are many duplicate threads are coming, as new users are starting new threads in hope they will get attention on their question.

Since, our team is very much busy with new c-sharpcorner.com interface implementation, no one is educating new users/taking care of duplicate threads.

We can't understand most of the unanswered questions.
