These are my inputs:) 

Suggestions from all of you are great…Regarding Prizes, it definitely motivates authors to write more and attract more people to the site. It can be considered as a token of appreciation back to the authors. Most of the sites are doing it, Even Microsoft is doing it. As Suthish mentioned

That also true.

From my view point's Prizes will attract new authors and motivate existing authors to write more articles.
But for award, only genuine authors who contribute to the site in different forms can be considered. We are doing contributions for different purposes may be for prize, passion, popularity, or for community work. So I don't think vote/Poll to find out MVPs is not a good idea. It has to be selected by C# corner judging panel. Because they only knows how our contributions helped them to grow.

Mindcracker community is nothing but articles, blogs, forums, news, resources, Q&A's, Polls etc…

So we have to give the equal importance to everyone who is actively contributing…….

Priority wise First Articles, Forums and Blogs….and then remaining sections….

No need to remove the monthly prize. Last November I got a pen drive. At the time of using it, I feel very proud about me…those feelings are priceless.

Article of the month or year etc are very good. At same time think about forum contributors like (vulpes, suthish etc).

List me at the top, I don't need prizes if you provide a monthly certificate based on technology contribution. 

I wanna say, certificates has bigger value than any prizes. Okay, add one certificate with that prize, if corner team wish that....lol:)

 How many of you guys don't like prizes. We will remove their names from prize lists.

 Please Note:

 Giving away prizes don't makes our community cheaper, CP community is the best example.
   
 Number of hits increases, more people join our community.

 That we need here. We need to attract more members to our community.
 
 Only prize selection team needs to be more stricter in selecting winners.

 I respect those members who don't want prizes but there are also other members who like prizes.
 

 There are around 5 active members (excluding myself) in C# Corner from my office and couple of guys are my team members.

 Am proud to join them here and one of the guy got an 8gb pen drive last time.
 
 He was so happy because, he wants to buy a 2gb pen drive for a long time.
 
 I asked him to join c# corner, contribute through Forums/Articles etc..
 
 After 3 months he got his name in Winners list, he is only one year experience person.
 
 He is still an active member of C# Corner and only the member of C# Corner.
 
 Also, he is a huge fan of Mahesh, DJ, Sam and Vulpes. Even am not in his list :)
 
 So removing Prizes is not a valid option, those who not interested ask the admins to remove their names from prize list.
 
 
 Some of you don't agree with me, we already had lots of threads discussing about the same.

I would also like to share my opinion here.

MVP for authors should be given technology-category wise.
Minimum no of articles/year should be fixed to qualify. Then no of hits, ratings, contents etc. should come for consideration. Management/ Senior members can play a role for selections.
Ex. MVP for a category ( SQL ) -1) Beginner article writer  2) Intermediate and 3) Advance level. So, 3 authors should be picked from these 3 levels and then other parameters as mentioned above should check to get one MVP for that technology-category.

I found 3 category of contributors-
1) who resolve the problems (forum)
2) who write articles/blogs and less contribute in (resolving problem)
3) who take care of csharpcorner and active in managing the website than writing. (less or no contribution in resolving-problem, articles/blogs)

I have seen beginners always in hurry and they look for quick solution. If one get his/her solution in time, he then feel good to get attached. I salute all c-sharpcorner's problem resolvers. Really they are doing great job. Some of them never mind the way of asking and provide the complete solution with source code and step-by-step process.

from my point of view, we should filter this list (there are some Microsoft MVP's don't filter them) because some of them has not logged account in 2011.

that's really a big list. even some of them has written 4-10 articles, don't know about forum contributions but they has no any recent activity on our site. I think we need some base rules for being MVP (like more than 20 articles  in a year or quality of articles or something else). 

I only wanted to say to filter the list and need some base rules.

How to replace Prize Section?

We should stop giving prizes and start shipping certificates based on technology author posted here. Like

"Author of the Month in Silverlight/SharePoint/ASP.NET/C# etc"

Shipping certificates will add big differences on our community. One more thing, we should not forget our forum members too. Even I suggest, a specific award name like "Best Forum Contributor of August, 2011". 

MVP Award Limitations?

Actually we should have limited new MVP seats (as we select new mvps). And also we should think of old MVP names updation, by watching his current contributions.

From my point of view new MVP award should not accessed 8-10. We should have some specific rules for this.

Some of my friends has suggested to have polling system on site to select MVP, please don't mind guys. MVP award should not be limited in polls, bad idea.

For this, MindCracker should list some members (about 20) and ask from old MVP's to shortlist them to find about 8-10 new MVP buddy.

I agree with dhananjay, add one more award..Top forums contributor of the month and year. or we can devided into categories like author of the month windows phone, Azue etc

Nice idea Mahesh... As Amit said we can remove the prizes section and can get more on the MVP award and like Member of the Month, Article of the Month with respect to particular technology like Article of the month for ASP.NET or Azure like that so that it gives more light for the authors to get this type or recognition instead of prizes... this is just my suggestion...

And as far as the name for the award we can have something like Mindcracker Community Performer of the Year

Also if we can have split like Mindcracker Community Member of the Quarter or Performer of the Quarter(every 3 months) it will also be a nice step forward.

Where and when will be our next summit in India. I already missed one..

Hope next will be in Chennai or Bangalore..

:) Good thinking Amit. However, we do have a bigger plan for Prizes. But we have stopped building on top of current code base. Everything we are focusing now in the next version. So, Prizes are coming with a different and bigger idea in mind. 

They will definitely be different than MVP Award and other awards. 

Sounds great.. MVP is award is itself a prize for contribution. As per my suggestion lets just remove the prizes section and make the MVP  and other Achievements as the prizes. whenever i looked at my account section and found prizes.. well I always think "Should i collect them?" :P .
