hellow, someone has given me this: private void btnPush_Click(object sender, System.EventArgs e) { count++; if(count == 4) count = 1; switch(count) { case 1: txtBox.Text = "a"; break; case 2: txtBox.Text = "b"; break; case 3: txtBox.Text = "c"; break; } } this works, but the problem is that i need to get more a of b next to each other. How can ik do this? no he just change the a into a be but i can't at an other one? thx and greetz

That's an UNDO. There is a single UNDO level built into the textbox. The user can invoke UNDO with CTRL-Z. You can invoke it programmatically using textBox1.Undo(); If you want more than one level, you'll have to built your own UNDO stack by storing the entire textBox.Text everytime the textBox.OnChange() fires.

Then just add it on to the text! If you want to replace the "b" with the "a" then just use the code for the backspace and add on the "a"

txtBox.Text = txtBox.Text + "b"; this is to at b to the text thats allraidy theire. but what if I want to get the a again?? thx for the backspace!!!!! greetz

Easy: string mystring; int N; mystring = txtBox.Text; N = mystring.Length; mystring = mystring.Substring(0, N - 1); txtBox.Text = mystring;

oké, thx a lot, thats OK now But no i need to make a backspace. How do I need to do that? Do you know that perhaps??? i know if you want to delete everything that you need to di this: button1.text= ""; but for 1 character??? thx for your help!

Sorry, that was for Visual Basic. In C, use the + symbol instead of & txtBox.Text = txtBox.Text + "b";

Concatenate the string by adding it on to whatever is already in the textbox: txtBox.Text = txtBox.Text & "b"
