Timeout Exception in ASP.net

I have developed an web application and published the same on web server.

When i open the application, and keep it idle for some time say 5-10 minutes then try to click on some option. It throws an exception as given below. Can anybody please help me get out of this.

Validation of viewstate MAC failed. If this application is hosted by a Web Farm or cluster, ensure that configuration specifies the same validationKey and validation algorithm. AutoGenerate cannot be used in a cluster.

Use the machine code..Add this to your web.config file in the system.web section:

Welcome Satinder Singh :)..Post my code into your webconfig..it's also working fine..if my answer is correct then please accept the solution..it will help for others...

Hi,

You have need to use machine key in web config file. you can generate machine key from here:

http://www.orcsweb.com/articles/generate-aspnet-machine-key/

copy generated key and paste inside system.web section of web config.
