threshold limit exceeded in sharepoint online list

Hello all,

Greetings!

I am trying to retrieve data based on people picker and single line of text columns from a list, containing 40,000 records currently, using REST api but i am getting threshold limit exceeded even though i have indexed both people picker and single line of text column. It is stopping my work to continue.

Kindly help me.

Try to retrieve data using recursive call.

Refer following code for recursive call:
var url = _spPageContextInfo.webAbsoluteUrl + "/_api/web/lists/getbytitle('ListName')/items?$top=4000";
    var response = response || [];  // this variable is used for storing list items
    function GetListItems(){
        $.ajax({
            url: url,
            method: "GET",
            headers: {

            },

                response = response.concat(data.d.results);
                if (data.d.__next) {
                    url = data.d.__next;
                    GetListItems();
                }

@Hitendra Solanki—thank you for your reply.it is working fine but as data has reached to 1 lakh items so its taking so much time to retrieve. Performance is very down in these round trips.

Try applying filters in your URL as below:

e.g : Consider you have two filters 1)TextboxValue 2)Created by

https://yoursite/_api/web/lists/GetByTitle('ListName')/items?$select=ID,Title,Author/Title&$filter=Author/Title eq 'Creator'&$txtboxField=txtboxValue&$orderby=Created desc
