I opened a project with VS2017 RC and then i tried to reopen with my installed Visual Studio 2015 Community.

But I get an error

src\ManageEmployees\ManageEmployees.xproj: The application which this project type is based on was not found. Please try this link for further information: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=659044&projecttype=8BB2217D-0F2D-49D1-97BC-3654ED321F3B

My *.xproj file looks like below:

What am I missing?

I fixed the problem.
It was Visual Studio problem more than project problem.
I had to install VS Community edition again and everything worked as expected. :)

I could not find the backup folder.
Could you please check, too?

I have already uploaded the project to github. You can clone it using

Of your project has been upgraded then there should be a backup folder, you can open your project from there without any hassle
