Hello luvannodam I found a way. try the following code. private void t_KeyDown(object sender, System.Windows.Forms.KeyEventArgs e) { if(e.KeyValue.ToString()=="13") { MessageBox.Show(e.KeyValue.ToString()); this.button1_Click(this,e); } } i have add a text box named "t" and a button named "button1" . in each key down event of textbox t, it checks the character . If it is enter (which case returns 13) it calls the button1_click event. It works perfectly mate. Have a god day (y) Cheers

the button u want the event to fire from, on your form, go to Default Button property and select that button (this will fire no matter where enter is pressed from) if u want to make it textbox specific, go with what James said

I've always seen it done by using the KeyPress event and checking for the ENTER key being the keychar. If there isn't a better way, there should be, but thats the only way I'm aware of.
