Hi If you want more control over the format, include System.Text where you have the ASCIIEncoding, UTF8Encoding, etc classes for handling conversions. For example, when I send some data via a HttpPost to some old VB legacy code, I have to go through UTF8 before it works. Cheers

Hi, Yes It encodes strings in utf-8 format but still this can be changed by configuring it in the machine.config file. Thanks edward prakash

Thats right, it uses UNICODE

As far as I know, strings can be handled just like in Java. Should be the same encoding, too. Greetings, gilthanas
