String[] args why it is needed in main class

I hope you are aware that main method is the entry point of the application and regarding string[] args, its a command line argument that is needed when you want to execute any command string while starting your application. Have you noticed when opening an txt file with notepad or opening media files with media player, that all of because command line argument.

This is very simple:

User wants to give dynamic inputs to programs. and checking their output.

Otherwise it will be hard coded and every time program should compile and run.

to avoid this SUN people given this advantage for Command line arguments.

Hi freind,

String[] args is a array of strings,

With-in your main you could check what the args contains and act upon the type of argument passed onto the program. If you plan on making a console based utility this would be a very good way to utilize the String[] args.
