You could just add another form with a borderstyle of non and a background image and load. In its load event trigger the timer and on the timer event close the form. Somthing like. private sub Form1_Load dim oform as new frmSplash oform.ShowDialog() end sub then on the other form private sub frmSplash_Load() timer1.enabled = true end sub private sub Timer1_Tick() me.close end sub I have mised all the arguments and handles out but its just a snippet for you to look at. There might be a better way but thats how I would do it. Cheers, Simeon
