Simple - Crystal Reports bringing in data from an SQL 2008 table

Hi,
I have VS 2010 Pro and Crystal Reports.
I have SQL 2008 and i need to pull data from a table called invoicelines and display it onto a Crystal Report. I have no clue on how to do this and have read everywhere. I've tried it a couple of times myself with no success and was wondering whether you would be able to provide me an example of how i would go about this.
As simple as possible would be excellent.
