Also you cannot inherit a theme from your parent site if you disable the publishing feature.

If you disable "SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure" feature, all lists and libraries created by this feature (e.g. Pages, etc) will remain intact.

Just that you will lose out on publishing and scheduling features.

Dear sreeram,

It disables all the publishing feature in the sharepoint site collection like Masterpages, Page layouts, Content Types, even Design manager option also not visible in your site collection it helps to build master pages and page layouts
