Sharepoint Online Recycle Bin Permissions

Hi,

I have created a sharepoint online site. The user is able to view, delete and restore documents and items deleted by other user including the admin. I need to set permissions on the recycle bin so that only those documents that are deleted by him/her are visible and should not be able to see documents deleted by other users. I do not see the option for list settings in Recycle bin.

How do i need to set the permissions?

Please advice...

Irrespective of whether the document is in library or recycle bin, users with permission to it can see it.
In that case, have the permissions set at individual document level. But, this has a downfall from performance perspective.

Users with conrtibute access will have access to recycle bin & he has access to the documents over there, that he has edit permissions. So the option you have is to manage permissions at the library level.

Basically whether the document is in library or recycle bin, the permissions that he has on document is considered for the access. Edit acess means you can move to & fro the recycle bin.

@Nanddeep: The users have contribute access in the site. These users are able to see the documents deleted by other users too. Also, there is no list setting option in Recycle Bin that would allow me to set custom permissions.

Site Owners will have an access to 1st level recycle bin.
What are the privileges you have given to other users, who should not see the recycle bin?

Yes, the site administrator should have access to view, restore and delete all the documents in the recycle bin. But I have other users with lesser privileges who are able to see the documents deleted by other users including the documents deleted by Site Admin. How can i restrict this behavior and allow users to see, restore and delete only their documents from the recycle bin.

SharePoint out of box does not support this. Since the admin users can access recycle bin, it make sense to see him/her all the deleted items.
