Set a string value for boolean True/False

Is it possible to output a boolean value True/False to say Yes/No instead?

Hi Chris,

Please use this one,
var grid = (DataGridView)sender;
if (grid.Columns[e.ColumnIndex].Name == "Hungrig")
{
  if ( e.Value is bool)
   {
           e.Value = (bool)e.Value == true ? "MY_TEXT_FOR_TRUE" : "MY_TEXT_FOR_FALSE";
           e.FormattingApplied = true;
   }
}

So this is what my code looks like as far stripped down as possible:

private void CreateAnimalTable()
{
// Bind source to a table
dataGridView1.DataSource = dt;

// Create columns
dt.Columns.Add("ID", typeof(string)); // Så vi kan få rätt ID på ett djur som har flera leksaker
dt.Columns.Add("Name", typeof(string));
dt.Columns.Add("Hungry", typeof(string));

DataGridViewColumn column1 = dataGridView1.Columns[0];
DataGridViewColumn column2 = dataGridView1.Columns[1];
DataGridViewColumn column3 = dataGridView1.Columns[2];

UpdateAnimalList();
}

UpdateAnimalList
private void UpdateAnimalList()
{
       // Clear table
       dt.Clear();

        dt.Rows.Add(new object[] {
       animalId,
       animal.Name,
       animal.IsHungry,
});
Property in the Animal object

Yes you can do in view. You need to apply ternary operator there. please share that code where you binding value.

I didn't follow. Can this be done in the design view?

Where should I place this in a datagridview that have a boolean column?

Following didn't work unfortunately. Still shows up as true and false
void dataGridView_CellFormatting(object sender, DataGridViewCellFormattingEventArgs e)
{
    var grid = (DataGridView)sender;

var strTrueOrFalse = isTrue == true ? "Yes" : "No";

//Test False Condtion

isTrue = false;

strTrueOrFalse = isTrue == true ? "Yes" : "No";
