How Get Selected Item Select in Select List Selected .NET Core

Subject :@foreach (var t in ViewBag.SubjectName)

{@t} , Topic : @foreach (var t in ViewBag.TopicName)

{@t}

here your form data placed

Instead of home place your controller name and Instead of Index place method name .

There should be two method one is get method another is post method in the same name .

Inget method assign viewbag for drop down.The post method should be pass the parameter
of model ,when submit the model auto fill and send to post method

Suppose a record is created with city Delhi now we are performing edit operation on it in case of edit how to get previous value e.g. Delhi Default selected using asp-items for select list tag helper?

you mean get selected item in Drop down by select index changed or in click event
