Security Execption error

Hi I have the same problem. but after create de strong name, and fill the assemblyinfo with it. I tried to compile and i get this error: "No se puede emitir el ensamblado: El ensamblado 'Interop.MSComDlg' al que se hace referencia no tiene un nombre seguro" I think that is that it makes reference to a dll , that doesnt has a strong name, isnt it? I read something about to ILDASM and ILASM, What have i to do exactly and why? Thanks in advance JuanLu

thank you for your help.... but.. i need some more :) when I am creating a strong name... it wants me to specify a public key from an existing assemby or .exe.... Right.... do u know what this means? I am sorry.... I am just working with a deadline here.... thank you for your time -Veronica

Hi , You error is related to the security restrictions that .net applies to code being run from a network. You can change the security level for your program from the .Net Configuration tool. Start > Programs > Administrative Tools > Microsoft .NET Framework Configuration > Runtime Security Policy > Machine/User You can assign a strong name for your program, create a new Code Group for your strong name and assign the FullTrust permission set to it. This should get your program working from the remote share You could also loosen the security settings for the Intranet zone, but it's not considered good practice from the security point of view. - dip
