Router IP

What does a ROUTER IP have to do w/ the C# Language Topic on the C# Corner forums?? Just curious.

You're assuming that the router supports telnet, and if you're talking about a Cisco router, yeah, that will work, but not with a Linksys or Netgear router. -James

You can do this using a telnet link to the router, but you will need to use the mscomm.ocx for this.

You're going to have to jerry-rig something to do this that sends a message out to something that will give you the IP Address you're coming from. You could send an HTTP request to www.myipaddress.com and read it in from there. I don't think there is any simpler method to do this. -James
