Returning xml from node js

I am creating an app in node where in need to return xml from nodejs.

I am using sql server and nodejs(Express + ejs)

I have created a api where in i need to return xml for data returned from sqlserver

You can use mssql node package. That will return data in json format
const sql = require('mssql')

async () => {
    try {
        const pool = await sql.connect('mssql://username:password@localhost/database')
        const result = await sql.query`select * from mytable where id = ${value}`
        console.dir(result)
    } catch (err) {
        // ... error checks
    }
}
Here result will be json fromat so now you can use jsontoxml npm package
and you can convert result in xml
const sql = require('mssql'),
         jsonxml = require('jsontoxml');
async () => {
    try {
        const pool = await sql.connect('mssql://username:password@localhost/database')
        const result = await sql.query`select * from mytable where id = ${value}`
        console.dir(result);

   //Converting JSON result to XML
   var xml = jsonxml(
          node:'data',
          parent:result
      );

    } catch (err) {
        // ... error checks
    }
}
