Retrieving Mouse status with C#

i am not undrestanding what u mean by MoustLeftIsPressed here is the code for catching all 3 button clicks. private void Form1_MouseDown(object sender, System.Windows.Forms.MouseEventArgs e) { switch(e.Button) { case MouseButtons.Right: { MessageBox.Show("You pressed the right button"); break; } case MouseButtons.Left: { MessageBox.Show("You pressed the left button"); break; } case MouseButtons.Middle: { MessageBox.Show("You pressed the middle button"); break; } } }

of course I am using mouse events but What I would like to do is the following : How can I write this "MouseLeftIsPressed" property or function in the following lines private void panel_MouseDown(object sender, System.Windows.Forms.MouseEventArgs e) { switch (e.Button) { case MouseButtons.Right : if (MouseLeftIsPressed) Cancel(); else DoSelection() ; break; ... } }

each control/form has its own mouse events, u can trap mouse status using these events souch as MouseDown, then that provides u with object to determine which button of the mouse was held down. and so on
