Problem to read the next file

Guys, good afternoon! I am having trouble reading the files in a directory, it presents an error as if it were going the wrong way, but I do not see this fault, could someone guide me?

Here is where I check the file extension and inform the path:

Error: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: 'Could not find the file' D:\Pendrive\PENDENTES\CGc0001.cpv\CGc0360.cpv '.' This happens every time I read the next file.

Looks like things have been made unnecessarily complicated.

Your MoveFile is suppose to move just ONE file. Right? You already passing parameter also.

That parameter is NEVER used in that method. Again your are getting list of ALL files and moving them.

Please confirm and correct accordingly.

Your code not getting correct file path. See below.

Ideally you only to take "file" variable and no need of rootFolderPath + file,destinationPath + file etc...

For bettr clarify, please share the method where error happening? If its' still MoveFile(), please share parameter value i.e. "string FileName" and also below local variable names. All values to take during exception flow.

string moveTo = destinationPath + file;

We can't debug and so variable values are key to assume about real issue here.

Friends, I'm having trouble solving my problem to move the file. After some changes to my code, I'm getting a different error. Follow all my code for better understanding.

In the MoveFile method that you originally posted there is filename added to the path (see line 5 and 6), however, in the latest code that you posted (see line 9 and 10) the filename portion is missing, which must be there.

In addition, for the purpose of combing file paths and file names, always use Path.Combine, which would take care of all slashes, etc.

Hi, thanks for helping me out Jaish Mathews, but I discovered that the error happens inside this method after compiling with the breakpoint line by line:

Error Message:
{"Could not find file 'D:\\Pendrive\\PENDING\\'.":"D:\\Pendrive\\PENDING\\"}

The error message is falling inside the catch.

I ask for the contribution of the help of my friends, the problem still persists.

Below are wild guesses as your code has scattered and not able to copy and try something locally.
You calling a method "ProcessFile()". Can you confirm that the error is basically from inside that method?
Error message has a file path which has a file name in between directory path. Can you check you really passing a full file name like that way ?D:\Pendrive\PENDENTES\CGc0001.cpv\CGc0360.cpv
