Problem creating Application using VB.NET

Hi everyone!

i am going to create new application using vb.net and sql server 2000.

yet far i have work in asp.net(c#) i have not write a single line in vb.net.

so prior to create application using vb.net i am asking general help for vb.net.

i am mentioning some of the area that i want help on right now

(1) calling web service

(2) calling store procedure

there are the two main area i am looking for right now.

anyone with code can help me in great deal.
