hi everyone, i am new to ASP.NET....and am not getting the concept of the IsPostBack page property. please take time out to guide me.

Postback is the process of submitting the page to itself. Many ASP.NET web controls cause "postback" IE dropdownlist. When you select an item, it fires OnChanged event that is implemented by submitting the form to itself and server then processes the event.
