PDF from scratch

Hi! I want to build up a PDF document directly via code, without using any pdf-printers etc. I'm hoping that someone here knows about any good documentation regarding how to do this. Maybe even someone has anything helpful for me to get started. with this. Best regards!

Spire.PDF for .NET is an easy-to-use class library for creating and manipuating PDF document in C#. Here is a set of comprehensive docuemntation about how to create a PDF document and insert text, images, and any other elements in it.

You can use the Document Editor from the LEADTOOLS SDK to create a new PDF programmatically. Here are resources that will help you with this.

check out this open source project. Its a C# port of iText, a Java API for generating PDF documents. http://itextsharp.sourceforge.net/ Hope this helps, A

Check out AdLib at www.adlibsys.com. I use it to construct user-designed 'book' hierarchies from various documents, via code.

There are a lot of good components out there for this if you want to spend a few dollars. Here's the one I use: http://www.pdflib.com/ If not, consider writing your own. Adobe has published the PDF spec. http://partners.adobe.com/asn/tech/pdf/specifications.jsp
