passing values

Errors are there to tell you what the problem is, not just to annoy you. They're not to be ignored. What were the errors? Where in the code did they occur? If a constructor is not the way you want to do it (for whatever reason), you can also expose a public property in form2 for each label and have form1 set its value before showing form2. You could simply make the lable public and set it directly from form1, but that's bad practice. public class form2 { ... private Label label1 public string caption1 { get{ return label1.Text; } set { label1.Text = value; } ... } public class form1 { ... private void button1_Click(object sender, System.EventArgs e) { form2.caption1 = textbox1.Text; form2.show(); } }

How will i pass the srting values from the textBoxes in form1 to the lables in form2. I'd tried doing th eway u told me, but still this gives me errors. Any other solutions. Thanks

I'd create a second constructor that takes the text as a parameter for form2...i.e... // default constructor public form2() { ... } // second constructor public form2(string mytext) { ... MyTextControl.Text = mytext; }
