order by date query

hi

have you used birthdate as nvarchar or anything else ? . becuase my side its working fine with nvarchar datatype.

if i use asc then also it wont saw proper o/p.
I cant chage field to datetime property for it.

why you take birthdata as text.. i think you wont get proper out put because its data type is text

you have to take birthdate as date/time

and in result you want ascending order then no need to write desc..

please use below query

Select schoolmaster.Name from schoolmaster order by birthDate asc

If you have taken birthDate as Texttype then you need to convert it datetime and then you can sort it.
