Good Discussion!!! Now only joined!!This time want to meet all of you guys. Last time it didn't happened. Hopes this time in south. Most of you didn't see me and me too, except Suthish, Dhananjay and Deepthi.

Here are some points, we keep in mind. And we probably should form a board (MVP Committee) that will also include some key members from the site and forums, who are hanging out here every day.
1. Current MVPs are automatically reviewed. They do not need a new nomination.
2. Award is based on current contributions made in past 6 or 12 months.
So in C# Corner database, we have users with their contributions (Articles, Blogs, Forums, News, Events) and Activities (Forum replies, Comments, Voting etc) and points are awarded based on these contributions and activities. We take top 100 members based on their points and sort list from that list.
Besides that, we look for some members, who are working behind the scene (Suthish, Dhananjay, and Sam for example).
Then we look for some extra-ordinary members (Vulpes for example) who are here to help and just help.
Then we look for Loyalty (big factor). How loyal you are to just C# Corner.
Note: We will have a separate thread on Venue for MVP Summit this year.
Cheers!

When will this poll be started?

(i=internet + rose)
Corner team should list about 20-25 new nominated members (say who is active member) and put this for selection by old MVP's or selection board (can be call like polling system) to filter them.
Innovative ideas always comes from team decision, isn't it?
Suthish NairPosted Jul 26, 2011, 3:20 AM
My response was for your statement, not for self nomination.
"Who is already an MVP here and still contributing tirelessly, should not nominate again and again? It should be subject of upgradation."
So cheers friend, don't be angry on me !
Mahesh will be so happy on these threads :)

Okay, what a great quote:
"True innovation often comes from the small startup who is lean enough to launch a market but lacks the heft to own it."

who are not actively involved now a days with csharpcorner, why they should consider?
Why a person actively involved should nominate himself/herself? Instead we should have a selection team to chose contributors.

I think most members don't want to openly vote or provide names here in threads.
Vilas GitePosted Jul 25, 2011, 10:50 AM
Its really Nice .
Mahesh ChandPosted Jul 25, 2011, 10:22 AM
We take top members based on points earned, contributions, and forum activities and make a list of them and pick from that list. Obviously, some members are more active in managing the website than writing, so we look at that as well.

Hi Mahesh Sir,
May I suggest here… If, you don't mind, Is Mindcracker judges maintain list of some active members and then put-of vote on that nomination panel by members or visitors? :)
