First of all, welcome to c# and welcome to the forum. It's not necessary for you to learn Windows (Forms) Application in C# to practice your OOP. Console Application will do. But IMHO, it would be very helpful to learn the GUI Part first for effective OOP concept.
There are many C#exercises you can find in the interenet. Googling c# exercises will return many results one of which I just linked.
And also, you could read/post on this part of the forum regarding Students and Beginner Projects from time to time. It's a new one I believe so you'll not find much yet there. But sooner or later, you'll find it to be very helpful.
Goodluck!
Cheers,
Jan
