I repeat, Focusing on Passion is automatically allocating a 1000 cc engine for a 100 cc bike :)

Azure is something like core .net with different execution environment and so you can use your existing skills with future prospective. No doubt SharePoint has covered many big or enterprise level applications silently, and in more demand. It is vast and have different role level understanding and usage.
As you can see now WCF has become common framework and almost each company is using this. Its hypo has been cleared. But, Azure is still cream pick and few are on it. Future is of cloud computing. So, you can choose it also.
But, as Jean sahab said, it is you who can choose according to your passion.

Windows Azure & SharePoint - both are good & booming.
You have to choose the p/f based on your passion.
I like SharePoint because of high productivity, extensibility & i like the UI.
There are more challenges & issues we have to face in SharePoint.
Literally it takes 10x than Azure to learn SharePoint. But i like it.
Azure is another .Net with different execution infrastructure. There is web track in it, you can easily reuse your existing .Net skills there, plus learning of Core Azure.
As complexity increases, pay should also increase. I prefer SharePoint in the case, but at the cost of more effort.
