Need ideas for an interview practical

We are going to be taking on a few graduates who need to know a little C++/C#. Anyone got a simple practical they could do? I don't want to over face them and I want it to be short. The only thing I can think of is reversing a string, I know its a lame idea?

We use these tests for interviewing C# candidates and these tests for C++ programmers.
Also you may also want to take a look at other TestDome's programming aptitude tests, I feel you'll find then interesting and they can inspire you to create some similar ones for your recruitment.
