My SQL SERVER 2008 cannot find data type geography.

Hi,
I try to create a table in SQL Management studio which has a column of type geography. But when I try to do this I get an error "Column, parameter, or variable #5: Cannot find data type geography." Could anybody help me please how to solve the problem?
