Moving from .Net Developer to CRM

Hi All,
I have got an job offer in MS Dynamic CRM.

I have 6.3 years of .Net developer experience. In that around 3 years in Asp.Net MVC 3 & 4.

Is it correct to accept this offer. i.e. to work on MS Dynamic CRM for a year or so?

How it affects my career in long run?

Please guide.

Hi,
CRM is an perfect option to get skilled . It is easy to learn as you have .net background. There are multiple integrations present with Azure. So , you will not loose your core skill ,but you get chance to work on latest technologies in CRM like power apps.

I personally think if you have 6.3 years of experience in .Net so dont switch it to CRM because you will become completely fresher in terms of Technology experience and in current 6.3 years of experience you have so you can utilize this experience in future by becoming tech lead,Architect etc

Hi

Having a 6 years of exposure is qualifying you to go through the Lead/Architect/Managerial positions in coming times, sooner! There you would be devoting your some time in designing/document/managing. You can't sit with your current role for a long time for the sake of position and money.

Switching into CRM development is good opportunity and it has good prospective. You can earn more in this than your .net/mvc development phases. Just groom yourself with it and I am sure you would start getting smart package offers!
