For example,
You can do mobile development using .net, which target Windows Phones nokia lumia etc.
You can do mobile development using Java / .net (Xamirarian )which target Android based phones + tablets etc.
You can use PhoneGap/Titanium etc tools to develop cross platform mobile applications.
You can learn iOS Phone SDK + tools to iphone + iPad development.
Hope you might got some idea.
