Its simple.. 

  

Before that you must know what is divide and conquer method.

 

Divide and Conquer method is , spliting the big problem into small problems and find the solution for small problems. finally merge the all the solution in to single solution. thats called as divide and conquer method.

 

Here,If you have 10 numbers as array list, split the array into two sub list and fine the big number in that two sublist and finally merge the result.

 

ITs also called as Merge sort in data structure.....
