Make directory

I am in the process of creating a aspx page to create directories and upload files to the server. I had to give the ASPNET user full access to the base directory c:\releaseDocs before the CreateDirectory would work. It will not work when the directory is under c:\inetpub\wwwroot\myApp\releaseDocs. It throws an UnauthorizedAccessException. FYI: It will create subdirectories CreateDirectory("c:\\releaseDocs\\" + userInput.Text); where userInput.Text = "\\releasesFor2004\\Nov2004\\myWord.doc"; It creates both the releasesFor2004 directory and the Nov2004 directory.
