this is not right that lengthy book are always good. please visit http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/ebooks/ here you found many books. in which many book are written by our founder http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/authors/mahesh/mahesh-chand.aspx which are not lengthy and very informative.

Last question Sir. Would you recommend a lengthy book or a short one?..I know lengthy books are pack with details but I kind of don't want to read like 1 thousand pages or 500 + pages book, I feel lazy just thinking about it, but if it would be better to read a lengthy book, then I'll read a lengthy book. I want to learn a lot and learn fast.

Thanks for the swift response Sir. The book uses c# 3.0 is it still ok even if the version of .net framework that im going to use is 4.5 Sir? . Actually my plan is to learn c# first then ASP.net then after asp.net I want to learn sharepoint, just want to ask if I'm on the right track Sir?
