Java Vs. C#.net

Dear Friends,

Since i'm new programmer in C#.net, I have some Questions with regards to the abovementioned subject:

1. In terms of Windows Applications, what is the most advantages and most secure in Client Server Application? JAVA or C#.net and Why?

2. In terms of Web Applications, Which is the most Advantage and most secure JAVA or C#.net and Why?

3. In terms of Mobile Application, Which is the most effective and most safer? JAVA od C#.net

Please help and guide me..

These questions are really worth discussing. I can provide you some guideline so that you can follow.

In the past 6 years, at the time visual studio 2002 with .NET 1.0 released to public, everybody were doubting about every aspect of the functionalities .NET provided, from language feature to design and development tools, from security to stability. But now, .NET has been growing fast and becomes another enterprise solution provider as Java do.
It is no means talking about "Java or .NET" because both Java and .NET are technologies that we can use to build our solution. For some situation you may select either Java or .NET, but for some other situation, like if you want to make your solution run under both Windows and Unix envrionment, maybe Java is more sutable.
From the result of many benchmarks, it seems that .NET can provide much in performance improvement. If your enterprise solution is a mission-critical or performance-critical, maybe .NET is your choice.

So, whether .NET or Java, depends on the solution requirement. I'm a .NET developer so of course I recommend you use .NET once you have the chance. Only one reason: .NET development environment (IDE) is much beautiful and easy-to-use than Java do.
