Hi i have a existing database and Store procedure. Please tell me which aproach is best for me to create project in mvc.

if i go for the Database first i need to create .edmx file or i can user businesslayer and databaseLayer

You can restrict write access to the model and mapping file(.edmx) to only those users who can modify the model or mapping.

ok... i am asking about how to maintain security for .edmx file...?
and if we use businessLayer and DataLayer so whats is my flow to call store procedure.

Though I don't have an example right now, it can be used with database first approach. Also, I didn't understand the security for .edmx file?? What do you want to ask about that?

In such a situation where you have an existing database and stored procedures, database first approach is more favourable here rather than code first approach.
It's better to use a .edmx file as we get an auto-generated code and also if any modification needs to be made then it can be done by extending the model class.
However, it purely depends on the size of your application, for small applications you can use business layer and database layer, but for data-intense or large applications, the former is preferred.
