What is the difference between inventroy management and an ecommerce website.
inventory management also defines purchases as recipt generates to it as online ecommerce website also has a cart in which we add things give discounts on purchase( if applicable) additional thing in ecoomrce is there are seperate stores which we can visit.moreover ecommerce has no visible set up for what inventory is left as it has no concerned with it.
in inventroy mangement there is no visual appearence of items what we purchase.while ecommerce has this set up. and many more differences
my question is that if have an inventory management system set up project can i make it for an ecommerce with some necessary modificatoions or i have to build a complete new set up for it.

hey Yes, it is possible to adapt an existing inventory management system for use in an ecommerce setup with the right modifications. An inventory management system typically handles aspects such as tracking stock levels, managing purchases, and generating receipts, which are foundational elements for an ecommerce platform as well.
To transition your inventory management system into an ecommerce system, you may need to incorporate additional features such as a user interface for customers to browse and add items to a cart, a checkout process, and secure payment functionality. You'll also need to consider aspects like user accounts, order history, and possibly integration with a payment gateway.
While modifications are necessary, building an ecommerce system doesn't necessarily mean starting from scratch. Leveraging your existing inventory management system can save development time and effort. Ensure that your modifications align with ecommerce requirements, and thoroughly test the system to ensure a seamless user experience.
