Invalid Characters

Hi, haven't been using vb for very long and wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction for removing invalid characters that are entered in a textbox, for example if the user adds dashes of spaces?

This is from the help file for the Replace method: Function CleanInput(strIn As String) As String ' Replace invalid characters with empty strings. Return Regex.Replace(strIn, "[^\w\.@-]", "") End Function You could also just do them separately: Replace(teststring$, " ", "") Replace(teststring$, "-", "")
